what is it?

Pasta Night is an ALL HANDS IN dinner party. Think cooking class meets pop-up restaurant. After a lil’ aperitivo*, I will teach your group the art of hand-formed, semolina pasta. Afterwards, your group will sit back and enjoy a seasonal, family-style feast, prepared by yours truly.

how does it work?

  • step 1: guests arrive and settle in with a drink and an assortment of snacks

  • step 2: everyone gathers around the pasta and learns the art of hand-formed pasta

  • step 3: the group collectively makes the pasta shapes while I put the finishing touches on dinner**

  • step 4: you and your guests dust the flour from your hands and sit down for seasonal, Italian-inspired feast

** the dinner menu will include our hand-made pasta paired with a seasonal sauce, two contorni (vegetables side dishes), a salad and a small dessert. Pasta Night will lean heavily vegetarian as the goal is to highlight locally grown produce.

but where?

Pasta Night is currently a traveling circus — just give me a call and we’ll get set up wherever you’d like to host. In person Pasta Nights can be held anywhere in the greater Durham, NC area.

the majority of the produce used for the meal will be sourced from local farmers (like me)!

*it’s around 5/6pm in Italy — you’re finishing up with the day — meeting a friend for a drink — you’re hungry, but not starving — enter the aperitivo. A smattering of salty snacks served alongside an aperitif, designed to whet your palette before dinner.
